Achieving quality dentistry for life
Privacy Information
As a patient you have the right to know how we protect your privacy.
What is HIPPA?
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA) is the first federal privacy law to recognize that all patients are entitled to privacy and security of their personal health information. Paper records, electronic records, and oral communications are all protected under HIPPA.
Privacy and confidentiality are priorities.
With dental offices using many new technologies to store and transfer health information there is a rising concern among patients about the privacy and security of health information. Many are asking a perfectly valid question: How can I be sure that my personal health information remains private and secure?
Each employee plays a part in making sure that patient information remains strictly confidential. While computer technology is helping us to better manage patient information we pay careful attention to make sure that patient information remains secure.
