Dr. Lyford was raised and attended school in the town of Hollis. He boys and girls coached youth basketball for 18 years and baseball and softball for 15. Over the years he has been involved in various community endeavors and always promoted a philosophy of giving back.
He was a Trustee at the Beaver Brook Association for 9 years and was Chairman of the Hillsborough County Conservation District for 15 years. He was the first male member of the Board of Hollis Elementary Parents Association, and 4 years a member of the Hollis CIP committee, Hollis Historical Commission, and Past President of the Hollis-Brookline Alumni Association, Hollis Recreation Commission, member of the Board of PLUS Company among other associations.
He is currently a Trustee at the Beaver Brook Association and acting Chairman of the Hillsborough County Conservation District.
Dr. Lyford is an advocate of local community businesses as well as connecting people with other people across many frontiers.
